Periodic Electrical Testing also know as Fixed Wire Testing was solely the responsibility of the Local Authorities until recently, but, mainly due to faculties taking on academy status, the Local Authorities have handed these responsibilities over to schools. Meaning that many schools now need to organise and budget this work for themselves. 

CSE Electrical, are a multi council approved contractor and specialise in the education sector. This means that we are aware that faculties manage their budgets on an annual basis and that Fixed Wire Testing can seem like a hefty bill in the year that the testing is due.

CSE Electrical offer electrical packages to aid schools in managing their budgets. Spreading your testing over the 5-year interval can in fact save you 20% from your annual budget AND we would also complete a thermographic survey, which identifies any imminent danger without intrusive testing at no extra charge. 

Please see below an example, a standard 100% electrical test on 500 circuits would generally cost around £4000, as opposed to £3,250 by spreading the testing over 5 years, with one of our Electrical Packages. CSE Electrical are a team of fully qualified, DBS cleared engineers, based in Cheshire who will work closely with the Site Manager to minimise any disruption and ensure a quality service. We offer in and out of term time testing at no extra cost, meaning it is not essential to wait for the school holidays.

All periodic testing carried out by CSE Electrical adheres to the latest version of BS7671, and all of our electricians are qualified to City and Guilds 2391 as a minimum (copies of their certificates can be made available upon request).
